Holly Shemami
Holly Shemami FNP-C, MSN founded ReAwaken Med Spa to help people of all walks of life enhance their looks and achieve their most desirable form of natural beauty.
She is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner from Oakland University. Holly has been working in the medical field since 2003. She started off working in Orthopedics as a nursing assistant, then finished her nursing degree at the University of Detroit Mercy. Holly worked in the Surgical ICU for eight years until finishing her Master’s degree in the Science of Nursing at Oakland University. Upon finishing her FNP certification, she also worked in plastic surgery, assisting in the operating room. Holly found the opportunity to work in Orthopedics as an FNP which allowed her to work in the operating room assisting in total joint replacements and sports medicine. With her love of surgery and performing surgical procedures, it lead her to begin a career in the Medical Aesthetics field. Since 2017 she has been taking aesthetic training courses and found a sincere love of making people feel better about themselves. Holly is continuing to grow and learn in the aesthetics industry by attending conferences and continuing education courses. Holly takes pride in treating her clients with great respect, kindness, and inclusivity.
At ReAwaken Med Spa, Holly is performing Neuromodulator injections, Filler injections, Microneedling with and without PRP. ReAwaken Med Spa also carries medical-grade skincare products. Soon, she will be introducing PDO threads which are a fantastic way to stimulate the skin’s ability to increase collagen production, which helps with elasticity and tightening of the skin. I can’t wait to see you!!!
Saline Choulagh RN, BSN
Saline started off as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room. It was a hard choice, but Saline left the hospital to fulfill her dream job as Cosmetic Nurse Injector. Saline knew this was her passion once she started getting injections done on herself and realized how much this boosted her confidence and made her feel great inside and out. ✨
Saline has prior experience with injectables working at a medical spa before joining our medical spa. She is strong-willed, a quick learner, and is efficient in providing the best care to her patients. Saline strives to maintain high patient satisfaction. Saline has great bed side manner with her prior experience. She always makes sure to listen to her patients to give the best results.
In her free time, she loves to work out, spend time with her family and friends, and continues to expand her education and knowledge in all thing’s aesthetics.
Taryn Kotermanski RN, BSN
Taryn graduated from Macomb Community College in 2011 and began her career as an ER nurse. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Detroit Mercy. After nearly 12 years in the ER, Taryn wanted to pursue a long time goal of learning Aesthetics. She trained with Detroit Aesthetic Academy and earned her certification in Neurotoxins and Dermal fillers.
Taryn has always had a passion for all things beauty and helping others feel beautiful. She is excited to incorporate her knowledge and skills into helping people feel more confident in their own skin. Taryn takes pride in being compassionate, trustworthy and safe. She is eager to continue learning and growing in this ever-changing field of medicine.
In her free time, Taryn enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 young children, cooking, reading, hanging out with her dog and traveling when time allows.
Jennifer Kook – Licensed Medical Esthetician
Jennifer is very passionate about esthetics and helping others to love the skin they are in. She believes taking time out of your day to take care of yourself is essential to maintaining your inner and outer beauty. Let Jennifer become the start of your self-care journey by allowing you to relax and unwind, all while being educated on a great customized at-home routine for you to achieve all your skin care goals.
Jennifer graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business. As a young girl she always dreamt of being a “cosmopolitan” (cosmetologist). As she always had a love for the beauty industry, she quickly became interested in becoming an esthetician and is now excited to be doing what she loves every day! Jennifer completed her apprenticeship at Bella Sante Spa in St. Clair Shores, MI. Jennifer is certified in Dermaplaining, Laser Hair Removal, IPL, Morpheus and chemical peels. As the esthetic world evolves Jennifer will always make it a priority to stay up to date on the latest trends to offer the best to her clients.
Sophia Evangelista- Licensed Medical Esthetician
Sophia is a Licensed Medical Esthetician from Elevate Salon Institute. She has mastered her skills in various aspects of skincare; including Facials, Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion, Laser Hair Removal, IPL, Dermaplaning and more. She is committed to staying updated with the latest trends, techniques, and products in the industry to provide her clients with the best quality of service. She is known for her personalized approach to skincare, taking the time to understand each client’s unique needs and concerns before recommending tailored treatments. Her warm personality and attention to detail creates a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for clients to relax and rejuvenate. Outside of work, Sophia enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and focusing on her fitness journey. She looks forward to continuing to make a positive impact on the lives of her clients and helping them achieve their skincare goals.
Emma Eveland – Business Manager
Emma graduated from the International Academy of Macomb in 2021 and is completing her degree in Business Marketing this year at Grand Valley State University. She completed her school’s summer internship program with us at ReAwaken Med Spa and gained valuable experience working alongside Holly and Jennifer. She loves working at the spa and learning more about the business side of things. Emma runs our social media and is passionate about creating fun and educational content for ReAwaken Med Spa. She really enjoys working special events and expanding her knowledge in the marketing world. She is hard working, dedicated and always up for a challenge. Emma hopes to continue to grow in this aspect and expand her marketing clientele in Florida after graduation.
